We got ourselves a porch...sort of

Building the porch started out like this:

Then we saw this a couple of days later:

And a couple of days after that, we have this:

And it's not just the porch that's been going up. If you look to your left in the above photo, you'll see the siding has arrived. We had vinyl siding on the original sides and back of the house, all of which has come down to be replaced with the new siding. And no, that's not what color we're painting the house.

But back to the porch. After much porch floor deliberations, we have decided on concrete. And not just plain concrete, or stamped concrete either. We've got a plan we're working out with the builder and the mason to give it a little style. Telling you about it wouldn't be as good as showing it to you. We're all going to have to wait a bit, though, for the reveal. Stay tuned.
